Object Creator v0.2
Something I never thought will happen with Liberty City Stories is the fan made software that now starts to pop up. As most of you know by now Edison Carter's Cheat Device enables us to do a lot more in Liberty City Stories. It later then had the ability to create your own custom cheats. The LCS CheatSync then came along that allows you to choose several cheats, made by fans, from a large database. Now someone created the LCS Object Creator.

It basicly does what its name says. You can create an object, or rather 3d model, that's already found in the games code. This allows you to build your own maps, like stunt parks, new islands or anything possible with the 3d models that's found in Liberty City Stories. The latest version is still a bit buggy, but future releases will include a map of Liberty City that will make it easy to get the coordinates of the location you want to place your objects. Examples of custom maps are for instance the Wolf Side Hill or The Cruise Ship. When you created your objest(s), you can save it to your cheats.txt file that must be uploaded in your PSPs root directory. You'll need the latest Cheat Device from Edison Carter in order for this to work.

cool.
OMFG! That looks amazing! I'm gonna try it out! Thanks for that peice of news Adriaan! Where do you find all of this stuff?
Comment Left By: reMix
He searches the net for this kind of stuff.
I guessed that, but I meant what sites does he get his stuff from.
OMFG that is very complicated. I think I'll stick with Edison Carter's Cheat Device and CheatSync for now.

Ok back on topic. You can't realy "mod" stuff. Basicly just play around with the 3d objects like you do in MTA: SA's map editor. I think we can create some cool maps with this.
Comment Left By: reMix
Yeah if we can get people who know how to use it that wanna use it.

I think this can really let our imaginations flow with the map making and stuff. I'm no programmer so I'll stick to my mental images!

If anyone knows how to use this program I would be happy to contribute to the ideas and stuff like that.

I think this is the greatest find. Ever. I am going to make a custom map of some improvements to Shoreside Vale. I'm mainly focusing on the hill where the Cedar Ridge Observatory is, since that has tons of space. This will take awhile, but I hope to get something. Sucks that I gotta write down all of the coordinates.

Glad to know you're enjoying my program. I initially made it for myself since im so lazy and didnt want to do calculation every single time to get my object code, so I made this. I'll make a tutorial tomorrow so people understand what it is and how to use it a little better.
Comment Left By: Pip
Yeah, I'm seriously clueless at this stuff right now. I just don't know how to load the code or anything. So a tutorial would really help.

Well first off, are you familiar with CheatDevice and the making of cheats? Also, are you familiar with creating objects using codes?

Well, I have HTML experience, so I do have knowledge of coding. HTML is the basic form of coding, so I could probably do this. But I have no background experience with this coding (and I believe this is C++, no?)
Comment Left By: -DeMoN-
No, edison made the CheatDevice in C++, but the actual in-game codes are a format made by him. they basically just involve things like:
setchar(0x9876543, 1);

Which basically sets the character at that adress to 1. Things like that. Anyway, Waterbottle over at GTAForums found the location in the code to make objects spawn whever you want them to, and to rotate however you want them to. Rotation values use sine and cosine, which is a hassle sometimes. And when you want multiple objects, you have to add 60 the hex value each time you add a new item. A lot of work for a couple items. Thats why I made this program, it lets you enter all the details, and it makes the code itself.
