Anyways I think that one of the reasons why GTA IV was delayed was the PS3 version being a little far behind, but I don't think it was like 4 months behind, probably just a few weeks. So the PS3 is not the main reason in my opinion.
We'll just have to wait for an official announcement.

^^yeah R* said that the PS3's was about 2 weeks behind....but i like the fact that it's delayed because that way NOBODY gets to play GTA IV the day it comes out first then me...because i wasn't gonna buy it in oct. 16...cause i couldn't...and this time gives R* to improve GTA IV and hopefully add new goodies to it....so yeah we'll see this game coming around spring time, right?...weird cause this woul;d be their first GTA to be release in another month rather than October...cause each GTA had had been release in October so...i think that they will delay it some more and make it come out in October 2008 and then we'll have to wait another year!!! anyway how long does it take to make a god damned game!?!? almost 4 years working on it and they still can't finish it, UNBELIAVABLE!!!! anyway yeah i can wait...it's the like the end of the world or something...

Well it is a possibility that R* might delay it to October 2008, I mean most of the time it's better to release a game in the holiday season, and lately a bunch of games have missed their inicial holiday launch date and only end up coming out in next year's holiday.
So you know maybe Rockstar will decide to add even more features to GTA IV and it could come out in holiday 2008, but I highly doubt that and I hope it doesn't happen.

Damm this really sucks, My vacation this Sept and Oct was going to be great with IV, the only good thing about the release next march or April is that im also off school on both months. I have a feeling it will be released next Oct.

The game is now planned to be released in the second quarter of Rockstar Games' parent company, Take Two, which stretches over February, March and April.

Rumors are that Take Two is telling retailers about a March release, but no one knows for sure and it could be delayed again.

^^yeah..so there is not actual release date...so yeah i think it will be re-delayed..,man i was looking foward to kick my friend's ass in GTA IV online! but NO now we have to wait...and it will be probably for another year!!!! oh well, it may be for the best...hey at least we got some new games coming out like Halo 3...Heavely Sword...God of War on the PSP, etc....but they won't be as fun as GTA IV...

I believe a delay was made because Microsoft asked R* to delay IV so it wont compete with Halo 3 and both could sell well once the are both released. Game of the year Halo 3, next year GTA IV. Nah, I highly doubt that Rockstar would do that for Microsoft, you know that the September release date for Halo 3 was actually because GTA IV was going to be released in October, so Bungie decided to rush the game a little bit and release it before GTA IV so that maybe it could get more attention.
I really don't think Rockstar and Take Two would do that for Microsoft.
