Liberty City Stories Mission Walkthrough
GTAPortable.com is proud to present their own mission walkthrough of GTA: Liberty City Stories. This walkthrough is currently far from complete, but is updated everyday. High resolution screenshots will be added in the near future.
The game kicks of with a cut scene of Toni arriving in now 1998 Liberty City in a tour bus. After Toni gets out a taxi pulls up and Toni gets in. The taxi takes Toni to Salvatore Leone's Mansion in St. Marks. While mister Leone is talking with Toni he introduces Vincenzo Cilli. After the reunitement with mister Leone Toni needs to drive Vincenzo to your new apartment just a few blocks away. When you get to the apartment stop in the yellow marker. You will then need to get out of the car and enter the building by entering the yellow marker. Inside you will find a clothing icon, health icon and floating CD that allows you to save your game progress. The objective is to change your clothes. So walk into the clothing icon and Toni will now wear the Leone suit. Get back outside and enter the vehicle again. You now need to drive Vincenzo to his hideout in Atlantic Quays. Stop in the yellow marker and allow Vincenzo to get out.
The mission is now done and you can head back to your apartment to save your game. Two new icons will now be available on your radar. One in the form of a CD to save games and the other a "V" to take more missions from Vincenzo. You can also grab the Sanchez next to Vincenzo's hideout and cruise around Liberty City!
A very simple and easy mission of just driving around. Vincenzo tells you that one of his dealers hasn't been selling for days and that you need to go and see him. Grab a car from the street or the Sanchez beside Vincenzo's hideout. Drive to the dealer mapped on the radar and once there Toni will talk to him. The dealer tries to convince you that he is sick and can't deal for a while. After the conversation is over the dealer will get into your vehicle and you need to drive him to Chinatown. Once you get to his location you will be rewarded with $100!
Upon entering Vincenzo's hideout you hear that he is inside the bathroom. He seems to have some personal troubles in there and is complaining about both his 'blockage' and the dealer (the one you talked to earlier) who got shot by some of the dealers of the Sindacco's. Vinnie is seeking revenge and you need to go and kill some of them. Grab a vehicle from the street or the Sanchez parked around the corner. Now head for the marked location in Chinatown and get ready for a fight. Once there get out of your vehicle and start fighting the Sindacco. Hold R1 and a target will now be locked onto him. Press the circle button repeatedly and Toni will start kicking and hitting him.
When he is killed head for the other two locations on the map and kill them too. When you killed all of the dealers you will be rewarded with $500 and a bat will also spawn infront of your save house. A message will appear on the top left hand corner of the screen saying that Capital Auto's is looking for a new salesman. You might first want to save your game first by heading to the CD icon on the map. Capital Auto's is not marked on the map, but is fairly easy to get to. Just head to the northern part of Portland until you see a large "Autos" sign. You will remember this place from GTA3. At the door will be a yellow icon to start the Car Sale missions.
This is the first mission in the game where you are going to use a firearm. After you listened to what Vincenzo had to say head on over to Ammunation. Currently there is only a pistol to buy for $240, but this time it is free. After you bought the weapon head on over to the construction site in Hepburn Heights and get ready for action!
You will see two guards standing in front. Kill both of them while holding the R1 button and pressing the circle button to shoot. You can also go in free aim mode by pressing R1 and then the down button. Then you can move the reticule around and easily kill them by shooting them in the head. Once they are dead you can pick up their guns and move through the construction site to the marked locations.
Two more guards will be waiting for you there. Once they are killed you need to go around the corner where the Sindacco is hiding behind a shiny Hellenbach GT! You can easily shoot him in his head from a distance. Then you need to collect his phone as proof that you have killed him. Shortly after you will receive a phone call from JD O'Toole and need to go and respray the car at Pay N Spray. Once there your car will be resprayed for free.
Mission done! You are rewarded with $500 and 3 new icons will appear on the map. A new contact, Ammunation and Pay N Spray. Also don't forget to go and save the Hellenbach GT in your garage at your appartment.
Before you start this mission grab yourself a 4 seater car that can easily outrun the police. There is one next to Vinnie's hideout that you can take. Vinnie is mad cause his boys couldn't rob a gas station in St. Marks and is surrounded by the police. You need to go and rescue them. So make sure you have that 4 seater car and head down to the gas station up North in St. Marks.
Drive into the gas station and stop behind the Mafia Sentinel and the gang members. The police is shooting at you so you better get out quick before they pop your tyres. You now have a 3 star rating so head down south west to the Pay N Spray. After you resprayed the car the 3 stars will still keep flashing. If you commit a crime during this period the 3 stars will be full again. So watch out for not bumping into a police car or running someone over.
Now head down south to Vinnie's hideout and drop the gang members off. You will be rewarded with $1000!
When Toni walks in he sees Vinnie talking on the phone, with his mother, while one of his girls gives him a 'blow' under the desk. Anyway Vinnie wants you to go and collect a car just down the street full of cokaine. Since the feds is keeping an eye on him he can't go himself, so off you go! Only a short distance away you will see a parked Banshee. Get in and drive away. But suddenly the cops arrive and you are surrounded. Toni doesn't give a sh*t and speeds away seeing as he got a Banshee with him. Now race towards the Pay 'N' Spray marked on your map and respray the car.
Now head back to Vinnie's hideout and deliver the car. When Toni arrives he is greeted by Vincenzo's yapping about how he gave you an appartment and "set you up". Toni doesn't like the attitude of Vinnie anymore and walks outside. You then decide to go wreck his beatifull Banshee. Now head south to the marked location on the map. When you arrive park the car in the yellow marker and the crusher will do the work. Mission done! But first you get a call from your mother and she is asking why you didn't come to see her since you got back. A new icon will appear on the map marked "C" to take missions from. It will be a while again before you receive any missions from Vincenzo.
You get a call from Vinnie saying that you must go and see him at his hideout. So head on over there and walk into the yellow marker to take the mission. But Vinnie is not there and you suddenly get a call from him saying that a new shipment has come in and you must go and see him at the huge ship at the docks.
When you arrive at the ship walk/drive up the big ramp and head towards the yellow marker infront of the door. Toni enters the ship and suddenly he sees someone running with a black suit in the distance. The game tells you to go to the hull of the ship. Inside the ship is two things that will come in handy later during the mission, so listen carefully. First walk straight down to the end and turn right. You will see a lethal Colt Python in there. Grab it and turn back around and head down the staircase towards the yellow marker. After the first set of stairs turn left and you will see a hovering armor pickup. Grab it and head towards the yellow marker to enter the door.
When inside a man with a chainsaw in his hands closes the door and runs towards you with a chainsaw. The game's camera swiftly changes into a almost top down view. Kill the first guy by holding R1 and shooting him with the circle button. One shot with the Colt Python will instantly kill him. Suddenly more and more crazy men in black suits will come running towards you with chainsaws. The best way to do this mission is to run towards one of the crates and hide behind it. The guys with the chainsaws will be at the other side for a few seconds and it will allow you to shoot two or three before they come around and try to kill you.
Keep repeating this and everytime someone is near you just run towards another set of crates and hide behind it for a few seconds and then kill a few men. Once they are all dead Vinnie will come in the door. Stand behind one of the crates and shoot him with your Micro SMG. Another easy way to kill him is to run into Vinnie with a chainsaw ,which you picked up from one of Vinnie's men earlier. Once he is dead exit the ship and you will be rewarded with $3000. A message will appear that says the overalls is now available at your appartment. When wearing that costume you can come back here and play a game of "Slash TV".
You will also get a call from Salvatore which tells you to head on over to his house fast. But first go and save your game before you take any more missions from him.
This is just a cutscene displaying everytime you try to take a mission from JD and is wearing the Leone Suit. JD tells you to come back when you look "less conspicuous". So go over to your appartment and put something else on like the "Casual Suit". Then get back over to his club and start taking missions from JD O' Toole.
Toni goes around the back of the casino and knocks on the door. Out comes JD with a gimp suit with chains and other 'interesting' things attached. The two have their conversation and later JD offers Toni to come in and watch. Toni of course declines his offer and tells JD that he is a sick man. Anyway the mission objective is to go and collect the money from JD's girls scattered throughout the Red Light District. So follow JD to the van parked out front and start driving around. When you get near a girl an arrow will appear above her and also a yellow dot on the radar. Stop next to her and she will give the money. There is more around the Red Light District so there is no need to go too far away. In one of the alleyways is a parked car with one of the girls still doing her bussiness. Just honk the horn and she will get out and approach the van to give the money.
One of the girls is being attacked by a pimp and has stolen the money from her.You then need to go after him and kill him. You can just run over him with the van until he is dead and then get out to collect the money on the ground. Once you collected the $700 before your time runs out the mission is done and you are awarded with $500.
When arriving at JD he looks nervous cause Mister Leone is inside of the club and the cops is surrounding the place. You need to get Mr Leone out of there as soon as possible. So go around to the front and get into the car that is parked outside. Mr Leone will get in and you need to drive as quickly as possible just down the street to the Pay 'N' Spray. When finished you need to drop him off at the marked location in St.Marks.
Salvatore will now become a new mission contact marked "S" on the map. The Mircro-SMG is also available for purchase at Ammu-Nation.
The Sindacco's want to take the casino down that the Leone family is running. JD tells you to protect the casino from the Sindacco's that is heading its way. For this mission you will need allot of ammo, preferably the Micro SMG, and a bike, a PCJ-600 will do.
Instead of going to the casino and waiting for them you can just run up behind their cars with the bike and shoot their car with the Mico SMG. Once it starts to burn they will get out and you can then easily kill them by shooting at them. You don't even need to get off the bike. Once you killed all the Sindacco's a van will be heading towards the casino that has a bomb inside. You can easily just drive to the van and shoot it. However if you don't get it in time fear not as there is another solution. Once the van stopped at the casino get in it. The Sindacco's appeared to have put it in low gear and it will be going fairly slow. It will however give you enough time to get the van away as far as possible from the casino. When the game tells you that the van is a safe distance away from the casino get out and run away! The van will explode - mission completed and awarded with $1000 for your duties!
Seeing as the Sindacco's wanted to blow up the Leone's casino, JD wants you to give them some of their own medicine. For this mission you will need full health and armor. If you need armor go buy a pack at Ammu-Nation or go and pick one up for free by heading for one of the marked locations on our Portland Hidden Packages Map. JD tells you to go and rig a car with a car bomb over at 8-balls bomb shop. So just "borrow" a car from someone at the streets and head north to the bomb shop.
Once the car is fitted with the bomb head to the marked location on the radar. Once you enter the Dolls House one of the Sindacco's doesn't recognize you, but another tells him that you must be new. Now park the car in the parking lot and get out. Once you get out of the car the Sindacco's will see that you are realy Toni and will start shooting at you. Just run as far away as possible and then press the circle button to activate the detonator that will cause the car to explode! Then just sit back and enjoy the cutscene of the Dolls house exploding. You will then be rewarded with $1500 and it will be a while before you will take another mission from JD.
JD seems upset about something and starts babbling about him going to prisson and all sorts of things. After a while JD reveals that Salvatore has been kidnapped by the Sindacco's. When both of them go out to the front JD points out to Toni one of the Sindacco's who kidnapped mister Salvatore. Once he gets into his car start following him. But don't get too close or otherwise you will spook him. After a while he will stop at a alleway where he meets up with more Sindacco's. They will get inside the car with Salvatore in the trunk.
You can do this mission in two ways. Either follow them to the crusher where they will crush the car and Salvatore to death. Or just race towards the crusher up north before they get there. Let's do it the easy way. Head towards the crusher up north of Portland. Wait near it and keep an eye on your map. Once the Sindacco's get near you just park your vehicle under the crusher to get it "busy". The Sindacco's will then also park their car under it for the crusher to wreck that car. You can kill the Sindacco's first or just get into the car and drive away. Either way this will give you enough time as you made the crusher "busy" just a short while ago.
Now just take Salvatore back to his Mansion near by and the mission will be over. You will be rewarded with $1500 and allot of respect from Mister Leone as you just saved his life!
Salvatore is mad at the Sindacco's for almost killing him and is now heading for the Red Light District to take them out. JD has planted a Rifle for you at the top of the roof accros the road. Just go down the back of that building and follow the stairs up to the roof. Enter the yellow marker up there and it will show a cutscene of Salvatore's arrival. You can either do what the game wants you to do by popping all the Sindacco's with the rifle. Or you can just jump down and kill them all with a weapon such as the Micro SMG.
It's all your choice, but the second option is much easier. Once all the Sindacco's are dead the cops will arrive. Just shoot them all and the mission will be done with a nice reward of $3000.
This is the mission where you can acquire the helicopter and fly for a short distance. For a guide on getting the helicopter in this mission click here. But since you want to continue with the storyline to complete the game, let's just do the mission like we should do.
After the cutscene you need to head to Salvatore's mansion where a guy called "Massimo" is about to leave with his helicopter. Head to Sal's mansion by following the marked location on the radar and once there steal the PCJ-600 before you enter the yellow marker. After you got the bike enter it and the cutscene will start to show where Massimo is entering the helicopter and takes off. Follow the helicopter by just keeping an eye on the radar. His first stop is only a few blocks away at a the construction site in Hepburn Heights where you killed a few Sindacco's earlier in the mission "Snuff" for Vinnie.
Once Massimo's meeting is over with the Diablo's, where he told them that if they do the work for his associates Hepburn Heigts will belong to them, he will then fly away down south. Just follow him again by looking at the radar until he lands on a roof in Chinatown. You'll then need to go up the stairs where a Fagio is near by and a health pickup beside it. Enter the yellow marker to trigger the cutscene.
Massimo tells the Traids on the top of the roof that they should leave the Leone's allone for a while and that they will then have full control over Chinatown. Suddenly they spot you and Massimo gets back into his hellicopter and flies away. You are left allone with the traids, which you should then kill. Just kill all of them up there, but be carefull as there are two snipers in two of the corners. You then need to head down as there are more triads waiting for you. You can just use the sniper, which you got from the other triads, and kill them from the stairs. Once they are all dead the mission is over and you will be rewarded with $3000.
JD's excited cause he is gonna become a "made man". He's all dressed up for the ocation and a Sentinel is ready at the front for you. Get inside and drive towards the marked location. Once you are near the offices of Head Radio two Sindacco cars show up trying to kill JD. You can either kill them by drive-by's or park the car in the parking lot at Head Radio and kill the Sindacco's once they get out of their car.
Once they are dead head for the marked location in Harwood. When you stop near the crusher JD tells Toni how long he has been waiting for this. Suddenly there is a sudden silence and out of no where Mickey, who is sitting in the back, kills JD by shooting him in the head. He tells Toni that Salvatore can never trust a man like him, cause he has betrayed his own boss.
Now you need to go and drop off Mickey at his appartment a few blocks away. Be carefull though cause if the cops see you and the now dead JD on the passenger seat they will start chasing you. Once Mickey is dropped off he tells you to get rid of the evidence. You need to drive the Sentinel into the river just a few blocks away. Just speed up and once you are near the edge press triangle to jump out of the car. Mission completed and $1500 richer. You will also get a phone call from Vinnie to go and see him where you will do the mission called "The Portland Chainsaw Masquerade".

However if you don't get it in time fear not as there is another solution. Once the van stopped at the casino get in it. The Sindacco's appeared to have put it in low gear and it will be going fairly slow. It will however give you enough time to get the van away as far as possible from the casino. When the game tells you that the van is a safe distance away from the casino get out and run away! The van will explode - mission completed and awarded with $1000 for your duties!

Seeing as the Sindacco's wanted to blow up the Leone's casino, JD wants you to give them some of their own medicine. For this mission you will need full health and armor. If you need armor go buy a pack at Ammu-Nation or go and pick one up for free by heading for one of the marked locations on our Portland Hidden Packages Map. JD tells you to go and rig a car with a car bomb over at 8-balls bomb shop. So just "borrow" a car from someone at the streets and head north to the bomb shop.
Once the car is fitted with the bomb head to the marked location on the radar. Once you enter the Dolls House one of the Sindacco's doesn't recognize you, but another tells him that you must be new. Now park the car in the parking lot and get out. Once you get out of the car the Sindacco's will see that you are realy Toni and will start shooting at you. Just run as far away as possible and then press the circle button to activate the detonator that will cause the car to explode! Then just sit back and enjoy the cutscene of the Dolls house exploding. You will then be rewarded with $1500 and it will be a while before you will take another mission from JD.
Salvatore's Salvation |

JD seems upset about something and starts babbling about him going to prisson and all sorts of things. After a while JD reveals that Salvatore has been kidnapped by the Sindacco's. When both of them go out to the front JD points out to Toni one of the Sindacco's who kidnapped mister Salvatore. Once he gets into his car start following him. But don't get too close or otherwise you will spook him. After a while he will stop at a alleway where he meets up with more Sindacco's. They will get inside the car with Salvatore in the trunk.
You can do this mission in two ways. Either follow them to the crusher where they will crush the car and Salvatore to death. Or just race towards the crusher up north before they get there. Let's do it the easy way. Head towards the crusher up north of Portland. Wait near it and keep an eye on your map. Once the Sindacco's get near you just park your vehicle under the crusher to get it "busy". The Sindacco's will then also park their car under it for the crusher to wreck that car. You can kill the Sindacco's first or just get into the car and drive away. Either way this will give you enough time as you made the crusher "busy" just a short while ago.
Now just take Salvatore back to his Mansion near by and the mission will be over. You will be rewarded with $1500 and allot of respect from Mister Leone as you just saved his life!

Salvatore is mad at the Sindacco's for almost killing him and is now heading for the Red Light District to take them out. JD has planted a Rifle for you at the top of the roof accros the road. Just go down the back of that building and follow the stairs up to the roof. Enter the yellow marker up there and it will show a cutscene of Salvatore's arrival. You can either do what the game wants you to do by popping all the Sindacco's with the rifle. Or you can just jump down and kill them all with a weapon such as the Micro SMG.
It's all your choice, but the second option is much easier. Once all the Sindacco's are dead the cops will arrive. Just shoot them all and the mission will be done with a nice reward of $3000.

This is the mission where you can acquire the helicopter and fly for a short distance. For a guide on getting the helicopter in this mission click here. But since you want to continue with the storyline to complete the game, let's just do the mission like we should do.
After the cutscene you need to head to Salvatore's mansion where a guy called "Massimo" is about to leave with his helicopter. Head to Sal's mansion by following the marked location on the radar and once there steal the PCJ-600 before you enter the yellow marker. After you got the bike enter it and the cutscene will start to show where Massimo is entering the helicopter and takes off. Follow the helicopter by just keeping an eye on the radar. His first stop is only a few blocks away at a the construction site in Hepburn Heights where you killed a few Sindacco's earlier in the mission "Snuff" for Vinnie.Once Massimo's meeting is over with the Diablo's, where he told them that if they do the work for his associates Hepburn Heigts will belong to them, he will then fly away down south. Just follow him again by looking at the radar until he lands on a roof in Chinatown. You'll then need to go up the stairs where a Fagio is near by and a health pickup beside it. Enter the yellow marker to trigger the cutscene.
Massimo tells the Traids on the top of the roof that they should leave the Leone's allone for a while and that they will then have full control over Chinatown. Suddenly they spot you and Massimo gets back into his hellicopter and flies away. You are left allone with the traids, which you should then kill. Just kill all of them up there, but be carefull as there are two snipers in two of the corners. You then need to head down as there are more triads waiting for you. You can just use the sniper, which you got from the other triads, and kill them from the stairs. Once they are all dead the mission is over and you will be rewarded with $3000.
The Made Man |

JD's excited cause he is gonna become a "made man". He's all dressed up for the ocation and a Sentinel is ready at the front for you. Get inside and drive towards the marked location. Once you are near the offices of Head Radio two Sindacco cars show up trying to kill JD. You can either kill them by drive-by's or park the car in the parking lot at Head Radio and kill the Sindacco's once they get out of their car.
Once they are dead head for the marked location in Harwood. When you stop near the crusher JD tells Toni how long he has been waiting for this. Suddenly there is a sudden silence and out of no where Mickey, who is sitting in the back, kills JD by shooting him in the head. He tells Toni that Salvatore can never trust a man like him, cause he has betrayed his own boss.
Now you need to go and drop off Mickey at his appartment a few blocks away. Be carefull though cause if the cops see you and the now dead JD on the passenger seat they will start chasing you. Once Mickey is dropped off he tells you to get rid of the evidence. You need to drive the Sentinel into the river just a few blocks away. Just speed up and once you are near the edge press triangle to jump out of the car. Mission completed and $1500 richer. You will also get a phone call from Vinnie to go and see him where you will do the mission called "The Portland Chainsaw Masquerade".
